Nestled in the heart of View Park, this inaugural gathering marks the official launch of a thrilling new chapter in slot car racing. Boasting a Carrera Digital 1/32 scale track that stretches an impressive 36.28 feet (11.06 meters) and fits snugly within a 7×15-foot space, the View Park Raceway promises fast-paced action and intense competition.

The event, named Anything Goes, But Everyone Knows, highlights a unique blend of adrenaline and camaraderie. The track features a pit lane for refueling, dynamic crossover sections, and a design that encourages strategic maneuvers and head-to-head racing. With the state-of-the-art SmartRace system in play, participants will experience precise data tracking of driver and car performance—an element that adds to the challenge and competitive spirit of the event.

Omari Bakari, renowned for his expertise, will be on hand as the event’s Team Leader. Omari has played a pivotal role in track setup and testing, making sure every twist and turn is primed for the big day. Meanwhile, Victor Allen will be behind the camera, using Switcher Studio with iOS devices to capture the setup process and on-track action. This footage will be collected and edited for an upcoming feature on the Pax Stereo Network.

Racers will have the chance to test their skills in a variety of categories, including stock and modified classes. At the forefront of the modified category will be Mario Hemsley’s custom NSR 1/32 slot car, equipped with a Carrera chip, an additional 5mm button magnet, and fine-tuned chassis and body flexing. It’s an exciting showcase of Mario’s ingenuity and racing passion.

And let’s not forget the spirited Pax Stereo Racing Marshalls, a team of four young African American women who will serve as race marshalls, returning deslotting cars to the track in record time. Their speed, precision, and enthusiasm will be vital to keeping the races running smoothly.
